U- Bolt Temporary User Scheduling

Can you please clarify on what revision/version of the app that his was made available?

I just updated my app to Android Version 2.1.7.6 and still cannot implement a scheduled use case, where the dates and times for those dates are different…For Example
Start Date: Sept 27
End Date: Sept 29
Start Time: 3pm
End Time: 1pm.

If I try to change the time (either start OR end), the other option is changed to the same value…Which is not what I need. I need the system to allow people to check-in on Sept 27 anytime after 3pm and the lock to stop allowing access on Sept 29 at 1pm.

Please try it yourself.

I would advise you uninstall the app and reinstall. At least log off and log back in. If your interface says Start Date, then it may be old. Mine is reading Begin and End the Date and Time on one line. If for AirBnB just configure the top and leave the repeat and times limit alone. I’m also on 2.1.7.6. There is also a Beta out there. Give that a try but that is a Beta so use sparingly.

William, try setting your Start Time to be greater than your End Time…For example Start Time to 3:00PM and your End Time to 1:00PM. When you set the End time to be “greater” than your Start Time, it will change the Start Time to the same value…Which is shouldn’t, since the days are different.

If you can take a peek at the picture, my start time is 3PM and end time is 11 AM. That is already saved for me. I went back into the user and opened the schedule. I have no problem saving to 3pm and end at 1pm either.

Hello Everyone;

I wanted to update you all with the findings from William and mine’s session today. I am happy to report that the requested feature has indeed been implemented and does work! The only issue is a UI problem with the older U-Bolt Pro Deadbolts with a bridge (and not the ones with built-in WiFi). The report issue is that the time field doesn’t “appear” to allow you to have a Start Time that is greater than your Finish Time. This is purely a UI issue, as if you set the two times and save your User, it will save correctly (as you can verify by going back in to see the settings).

William has taken this UI issue away for his Team to address in a future firmware/app version release.

This all being said, please try it out and Thank You to U-Tec and William for implementing this request. My faith is restored. :slight_smile:

Try updating your app or uninstall, re-install, and login.

I have tried already and it didn’t work.

Are you using iOS? Unfortunately I was unable to recreate the success with the Android 2.1.7.6 App with an Apple version. We have already let the R&D department know of this issue and the UI issue with the Android version. If you possibly can get your hands on an Android phone or tablet, it’s a quick fix until we can come up with something better. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the Ubolt with bridge and the temporary user issue for short term rentals is a little ll not working. I called customer service yesterday and was told that this is being worked on but they don’t have an implementation date yet.
I called customer service today and a different agent told me it will never be implemented for Ubolt with bridges and my only recourse is to buy a new Ubolt with integrated WiFi.
What is the truth? FYI- I live 800 miles away from this device, so changing out the device will be difficult and expensive.

I also have the ubolt with the bridge, will this feature be implemented for this model.

I have 2 different U-tec locks controlled by the same app. One is a Ubolt and the other one is a Latch 5 fingerprint. I have a Pixel 8 pro phone. The temporary user scheduling is impossible to set because it constantly defaults to the full next month. Same with the times. I am not able for example to schedule access for the whole day tomorrow for example. As soon as I set it and want to save it it has reverted back to the default.

Please advise where to go from here. I cannot use it for my Airbnb or for letting in trades people.

This is absolutely incredible that this basic functionality does not exist. I had to downgrade to an older version with a bridge because the wifi version just doesn’t work and now this basic functionality isn’t there. This really is the worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune to use. I wish I’d never heard of them.

So I wanted to touch base on this. I recently had to purchase a new Ubolt Wifi as the old one would not change lock direction and kept binding up (an issue for another time) but I was pleasantly surprised to see after installing the replacement that it gave me the date and time feature discussed here in the app. I use an iPhone and only that one lock shows the date and time feature. All of my other locks still do not. So my question: Is it a firmware issue with the older Ubolt Wifi locks or is it still consider a UI issue? Because I have the latest firmware available for all my locks (10 total) and only one of the 10 has the feature available. I am happy to see some progress being made but the date of this message and still not seeing a solution is a little frustrating. Any update or input from you would be appreciated. Thank you!
