One day old U Bolt Wi-Fi unit. Batteries are brand new. Keypad works but numbers and Ultraloq button not lighting up. Makes it very difficult to use at night. I really want to like this product but initially had problems with the door sensor and now this.
I believe I’m all good now and everything is functioning as it should. I pulled the batteries out and put them back in and the keypad lights started working. Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong. Thank you.
I’m having this same issue. Batteries seemed dead only a couple days after installation of new combo wifi lock, so replaced them and now keypad lights are not working.
Same problem we have, brand new Latch 5. Key pad not lighting up after one or two uses. Remove and put back battery, happens again after one or two uses, repeats. I just ordered 4 of these from Amazon. If not resolved, we will have to return all.
Same problem with 2 of the Latch 5 I bought from Amazon. I used lithium batteries so maybe I’ll swap out for regular. I thought maybe they would last longer.
Anyone know why the keypad stops but works after removing the battery?
Nathan, just FYI but it’s generally not recommended to use lithiums in these types of gizmos, because when they become exhausted they tend to do so with little or no notice. You should switch instead to alkaline I think.
I switched to the supplied batteries and the displays goes out after unlocking twice. It’s up to date with firmware as well. Why would this continue happening?
I’m having the same issue, took the batteries out and back in - it worked for a few hours then no lights. This morning I completely changed the batteries so let’s see how that goes. This lock is brand new! U-tec, what are you doing to resolve this?
Hi, Am am having the same issue with the Latch 5 Key pad not lighting up. Initially works fine but after a day or 2 stop working. The finger print is working fine. I change batteries and tha keypad will work for 1 or 2 days and then the same
