Auto unlock has not been working for the past few weeks, says communication error, I have tried restarting and repairing bridge and still dont work
I try so many replace lock and key still can not auto unlock i give up
AutoUnlock does not use the bridge. You phone senses when you exit and return to the geofence and is then prepped for sensing the BlueTooth connection with your lock. When you get close enough to the lock, the phone sends the unlock signal over Bluetooth.
The lock will not communicate your phone over Bluetooth while it is communicating with the bridge (over Bluetooth), so a quick test is to try unplugging the bridge. Then “exercise” autounlock at least a few times. Assuming AU works with bridge unplugged, try plugging it back in (This has worked for me, don’t ask me why).
If AU does NOT work with no bridge, try doing a factory reset on the lock and then re-setup.
After that, contact Utec customer service.
