Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but my original lock had issues staying powered. I had to keep the battery cover off for the batteries to power the unit. If I put the cover on it would act like the batteries were not installed. U-tec replaced the inner door portion with the batteries. I reinstalled it and it’s been working fine for almost a year to day. I changed the batteries yesterday and now the lock seems to randomly power off. I can’t seem to connect to the lock in the app any more. Installing the batteries will cause the red light to come on and the unit will beep. But then it seems to die randomly. It’s really unreliable.
