My U-Bolt works well for several weeks after I replace batteries but after that it stops locking automatically. What is weird is that
It is only several weeks, so batteries don’t have to be depleted that fast.
It still locks and unlocks if I facilitate it via the outside buttons, so the batteries are not that depleted.
Oh, and according to the app, batteries are still well-charged.
Replacing batteries makes it work fine again, so I wonder if others have observed this issue and how one can mitigate it. I definitely don’t like the fact that it stops auto-locking quietly (my kids assume it will lock when they leave the house).
I am having the same issue. It will lock if I use the app, the pin pad or the finger print reader, but if I manually unlock from the inside, open the door and close it. The device will not lock on its own.
Same problem here. Auto-lock works fine for weeks, then stops working. There are no notifications from the app saying it’s broken, it just leaves the door unlocked for anyone to come in. It has done this 3-4 times since I’ve owned this locked for 6 months. Terrible considering this is supposed to be a security device…
Same issue here, most of time the lock wont’ reconnect automatically after a power outage, which is pain. I don’t care about my office lock because I go there everyt day and I can fix it. But I have an Airbnb lock which 1.5 hour drive away, and driving there just to reconnect the lock drives me crazy. The fact that it works again after you replace the batteries, is not related to the batteries charge, but only to the fact that replacing new or old batteries will reset the lock. I suppose nobody should by that lock until they fix this software issue, especially if the lock is in another city. A huge pain
