Ive tried all suggestions short of a firmware update. I cannot get the lock to maintain a connection to wifi long enough to update the firmware. I have tried setting up a dedicated 2.4Ghz wifi network - network registers via the U home app then disconnects. I have tried using my phone as a wifi hotspot - network registers via the U home app then disconnects.
I have reset it, unplugged the thumbprint / keypad from the internal unit and plugged it back in. This issue persists. BTW the ticket link - takes me to a page that doesn’t exist.
I had this issue when my locks were unlocking randomly usually in the middle of the night (DAYTIME OVERSEAS)…and I suggested a hacking…now I read the chip mfg may have had a backdoor entry: Espressif’s Response to Claimed Backdoor and Undocumented Commands in ESP32 Bluetooth Stack | Espressif Systems
BUT I’m not believing the “no it’s safe” I replaced all my locks. The unlocking happened nightly and was scary as shit when you are alone and your front door opens at 3am…YEAH NO. I switched out to SCHLEGE ENCORE, No more BRIDGE, and no more hacking into my locks. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY
