I want to convert my in-laws front door over to the U-Bolt. But it has a janky setup currently. The left side mirrors the right but is just a fake lock as both just have cavities for the bolts on the right door.
Any recommendations? I’m assuming I’m going to need four handles, not just the two that comes in the passage handle set. For the false lock on the left door, anything I should replace it with to go with the U-Bolt?
Finally, would I be installing both the U-Bolt and the passage handle on top of that current plate? Or does that need to go?
