On the exterior side, the outer light ring (not the inner finger scanner) is always illuminated red, which drains the batteries. This is a relatively new behavior in the past few months. Being locked or unlocked does not matter. Having WiFi or no WiFi does not matter. Battery state does not matter. What is this light trying to tell me? How can I turn it off? Please.
