I went to open my U-tech Ultraloq app today and found it replaces/updated with a cloud based version. This is upsetting enough to me to move all my locks away from U-Tec. I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time because they allow me to control my locks at home via my phone over my own personal Wifi, not a cloud based connection. So now, I can’t control my locks if my internet is down. That is extremely disturbing.
I would request you allow a LOCAL control or put back the old app so we can have a choice.
Having to log into a cloud based service before I can manage my locks is completely against the security off-grid mindset I have.
These locks are great, and far ahead of competition but requiring internet to manage them was a mistake.
Please provide me a way to manage them locally. Otherwise, Ebay will be seeing something in the neighborhood of 10 of these locks going up for sale.
