I was able to download the trial version/beta test for my iphone and update the app.
I preferred seeing the lock confirmation on the app in a red color. I would prefer to see it unlocked in a green color. More obvious but if a color blind issue perhaps yellow?
Having received your feedback I will discuss this with our visual designer
OK, we’ll check this issue closely!
Just an FYI, the walkthrough when first opening the beta app shows “Font Door” in the guide, I assume it should be “Front Door”. I can get a screenshot if needed.
Received! the new version has been modified, we will release it as soon as possible.
@Carrie as with many other U-tec customers on this thread, I’m concerned about installing an unreviewed, unvetted APK package. Why not use Google Play Store’s official beta testing approach?
“Try new Android apps before their official release - Google Play Help” Try new Android apps before their official release - Google Play Help
This would make it much easier for us, your customers using Android, to install your app and give you feedback.
Sounds like a good idea, I’ll look into it. Thanks!
@Carrie Here’s the developer-facing info on app testing (more relevant than the user-facing link I sent initially).
“Open testing | Google Play Console” Open testing | Google Play Console
Thank you for looking into this!
As other poster mentioned, why not release this as Beta on the Google play store? Some/a lot of devices won’t let you install apk if they’re enrolled into any type of work policy when using byod.
Download of the .APK file was smooth and quick. All setting carried over and I prefer the dark mode, which was automatically detected by the settings on my phone. The only issue I can see with the beta so far is that it doesn’t identify the serial number of my lock, it just says “unknow”. Mac address shows, just not S/N.
So far the new app looks good and works well!
Received! Thank you. We maybe consider applying it to the next beta.
Thanks for the feedback, a few users’ SNs are abnormal when entered into the factory, and we have fixed them in the following released locks.
I haven’t installed this new version and after uninstalling the lock, I’m not sure I’m going to give it another chance. But I’m curious about this new version. Does the auto unlock work any more reliably? (I don’t know if this is a lock issue or an app issue or some combination.) And did they make it so you can have more granular control of the time a temporary user’s access starts and stops (rather than just the days)? These were common complaints/requests and I wonder if they addressed them in the new app?
