Tips for Ultraloq UL3 BT (2nd Generation) 5 in 1 Smart Lever Lock

While there is considerable ‘chatter’ regarding the UL3 BT (2nd Gen) lock I thought it worth adding my tuppence worth, as may assist some folk.
I imported (to NZ) two of these units, complete with WiFi bridges/hubs, a couple of months ago.
Comments:
Quick delivery
Very well packaged
Great documentation
Great installation kit
Installation was simple and no problems encountered.
They look clean and modern.
The WiFi bridge needs to be very close (within 1.5mtrs) of the lock, with line of sight, both during setup and when operating to ensure optimal performance.
If the smart phone app connects to the lock at any stage, during normal operation, it takes a significant time before being able to connect to the lock via WiFi.
The more finger prints ‘loaded’ to worse the fingerprint recognition appears to work.
With a single fingerprint loaded I get 7 out of 10 first strikes. With 4 fingerprints we get about 2 in 10 first strikes and an average of 4 tries are necessary for success.
Auto-lock has worked well.
Overall I am pretty impressed with the units.
Cheers.
