Officially Supported Home Assistant Integration

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this old thread. I bought the lock because I did a quick Google search and it appeared that it would work with Home Assistant. Didn’t read enough because it was Z-wave and not wifi… Well, I am buying a house and want every lock the same (one app to update all) the question is do 5 U-tec devices and forgo HA integration or do I look at a different lock? I will have to decide soon, if there was a supported HA integration my decision would be easy!

Time to look at other locks, the U-Tec could integrate a wifi lock to home assistant by using Smartthings as in intermediate service, However it now seems UTec have dropped smartthings support and my locks have stopped working.
I assume this is to close off all other options and force use of U-home for your household control. Sadly, very narrow minded thinking and will be the downfall of what was a good product.
If you are tossing up whether to buy U-tec… I would steer clear and look at other options.

Thanks for the advice, I will start shopping for other brands.

Multiple years of requests, and zero progress supporting what is clearly the best and most open home automation platform out there, Home Assistant. I like my Ultraloq Wifi, but not enough to maintain it as one of the only remaining devices in my home to not support Home Assistant. Further the fact that you engaged in the:“works with Home Assistant” program, and then withdrew from that program without so much as an explanation to this user community. Reminds me too much of the Chamberlain “MyQ” debacle. I will not be recommending U-tec to anyone, and I will not be replacing my lock when it fails (again). U-Tec, all you need to do is place excellence on par with profits, and growth and profits will come. You Fail…

I have to agree with others here. HA integration is essential. As much as I like my Ultraloq, I will not be buying any more. Other brands are matching your features AND providing HA support. And this isn’t hard. Simply release the API and voila! You get to watch the HA community build the integration in record time. Or lock it all down and I predict you will find yourselves being very lonely.

Literally about to return the u-bold pro i just received as a Christmas present (after stupidly wasting the time to install it) because it doesnt integrated with Home Assistant. My entire house runs on HA and if it this cant integrate into that system, its useless.
My non-techy wife bought this because it claimed to work with Home Assistant… It does not. Now i have to hurt her feelings returning the gift she was so excited to give me.

This thread is over 2 years old, so its clear the developers don’t care about the customers begging for this feature and the company itself commenting about how they’re too busy with other things. What a joke.

Release a local API so we can build our own integration, stop trying to force users to use your stupid internet dependent cloud platform, its scammy, its sole purpose is to make money off our data, and people are over it.

There is an API and found an addon that works with that API.
Here it is: https://github.com/LF2b2w/Uhome-HA
I installed and confirm it works good with my 2 Bolt Wifi
